Cara Ronzetti is an award-winning actor, writer and director. She is an honors graduate of the BFA acting program at Carnegie Mellon University and has also trained and performed in England at London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art, the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, and Drama Centre London.
Cara’s television credits include the series lead in Group, based on Irvin Yalom's novel The Schopenhauer Cure, a recurring role on Beau Willimon's series The First, and a feature on the NBC’s New Amsterdam; she has had supporting roles in feature films like Daniel Isn't Real and Superior, which premiered in the 2021 Sundance Film Festival, as well as the lead in The Reunion, for which she was awarded Best Acting Performance at Soho Film Festival. She loves all aspects of filmmaking and has worked in a variety of departments on a range of sets. Her stage acting includes Catherine in the Alley Theater’s production of A View from the Bridge.
She is a huge fan of soundpainting, and has collaborated on pieces with Powerhouse Theater and Evan Mazunik at Irondale. Ronzetti is a big lover of boxing and is currently developing a feature film about a female boxer. Her experiences both in and out of the ring have inspired her – photographing the fighters at Gleason’s and training and sparring with her own Church Street Boxing community. Cara also loves making music, reading, swimming in the ocean, sharing time with family, and building things with her hands. And her fuzzy little cat named Rocco.
