ALEX ROLLINS BERG is a writer and director based in New York City. At Stonestreet, he teaches Directing the Actor, Advanced Directing the Actor, Script to Screen, Production (Micromovies) and Advanced Projects.
Alex received the Blacklist and Harvard University’s Hasty Pudding Fellowship for social commentary. His short film Hold Up won the Audience Award for Best Short Film at the 2022 Romford Film Festival in London, Best Short Film at Ignite UK and Best International Film at New Renaissance. As a commercial director, he has made spots for some of the world’s top brands, including Nokia, Smirnoff, Procter & Gamble and McDonald’s.
Alex started his film career annotating the script for the Academy Award-winning film Capote. He has since worked as a storyboard artist, title card designer, cinematographer, editor and agency producer. An enthusiastic explorer, he shot helicopter search-and-rescue missions with the Coast Guard in Alaska, and is currently developing projects in Brazil and Nepal.
