Bonnie Q Harris is thrilled to be joining the Stonestreet team! Bonnie’s interest in the arts started early as an actor and comedian, splitting her time between New Jersey and Chicago. She studied and performed improv, sketch writing, and stand up comedy at Second City, Chicago with wonderful teachers such as Kat Barker, Tim Soszko, Anthony LeBlanc, and Bryan Bowden. During her time there, she also worked as a Brand Ambassador for ComedySportz Chicago, where she became friends with Keith Habersberger (Buzzfeed’s Try Guys). She also was an intern for The iO Theater, working under comedy guru, Charna Halpern. When Bonnie first came to New York University, she studied acting, dramatic/comedic writing, and economics. It was when Bonnie joined Stonestreet’s conservatory program that she fell in love with all aspects of film and television. Learning about what happens in front of and behind the camera inspired her to use her writing to create works that she was very passionate about, including Dreams and Amour.
After two and a half years at NYU, Bonnie graduated with a BFA in Drama. After graduating, she wrote a twenty minute comedic short pilot called, Jackie’s Dream. She teamed up with a cast of talented actors and the film premiered at Stonestreet Studios in May of 2018.
Outside of Stonestreet, Bonnie is the artistic director, producer, and co-writer for The Anita Laugh Comedy Troupe. She is currently finishing her MA at Baruch College in Arts Administration. She serves on the officer board of Baruch’s Graduate Arts Administration Network as secretary, social media manager, event coordinator, and in-house comedian.
